The Department of Public Health, Office of General Counsel, serves as in-house counsel to all offices within the department. This series consists of records created by the Personnel Branch sent to the Office of Federal Counsel to document its efforts/actions in resolving employee's personnel problems which may include reprimands, suspensions, demotions, transfers, terminations, and and other related matters. The bulk of these records is composed of correspondence and memoranda. With few exceptions, this series is sent to the General Counsel for information purposes.
